At Homewood Children’s Village (HCV), we believe a school is more than just a place to learn—it’s the heart of a thriving community. A Community School nurtures, guides, and protects; it serves not only the child but the entire family. However, to fulfill this role, our Community Schools need resources to foster safety, stability, and success for all.

Now more than ever, Homewood children and families need the comprehensive support that only Community Schools provide. Many students face significant barriers beyond academics—challenges like food insecurity, mental health struggles, and exposure to violence. Community Schools are uniquely equipped to address these needs, transforming schools into safe, supportive environments that foster growth and resilience. However, we need financial support to sustain and strengthen this vital work.

As the lead partner for Homewood Community Schools (Faison K-5, Lincoln PreK-5, Westinghouse Academy), we believe schools should be hubs of opportunity and empowerment, offering tutoring, mental health support, after-school programs, career readiness, and even job training for families.

At the heart of our Community Schools is a dedicated team of professionals who guide students on their academic journeys, helping them build the skills, confidence, and resilience necessary to navigate both school and life. Serving over 1,000 students per year, these individuals are more than trusted and caring adults—they are often lifelines for students and their families, working tirelessly to connect them to vital programs, services, and resources that foster stability, growth, and success.

This year, our goal is to raise $75,000 to support our Homewood Community Schools. Every dollar you give helps us offer these life-changing programs, equipping families and helping students achieve success in school, work, and life.
