Join us in supporting the mission of Family Promise as it hosts its 10th annual Bed Race to End Childhood Homelessness! This fun-filled community event features a 100-yard dash of beds-on-wheels and is designed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by families without a stable home.
As our signature fundraising event, The Bed Race is instrumental in driving our ability to mobilize community resources to provide compassionate care, shelter, meals, and case management to homeless children and their families.
What exactly is a Bed Race?
Teams consisting of 5 individuals, including 4 racers and 1 rider, are required to construct or borrow a bed on wheels. The objective is to compete in a race down a 100-yard track and achieve the fastest time possible. Additionally, prizes will be awarded for the most amusing bed design, the team that raises the highest amount of funds, and the crowd favorite. This year’s race is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 24th at Santa Fe College from 10 am to 1 pm.
